Three new additions to specialist Tax Team

The firm has promoted James Clark to Tax Director in recognition of his 14 years of service to the firm.

James’ tax expertise and enthusiasm for all things tax related, has been instrumental in the success of our Tax consultancy service and this well-deserved promotion will further strengthen our management team.”

“James joined Whittingham Riddell in 2004 and has gained membership to both the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.”

James leads the firm's specialist Tax Consultancy team; providing advice on a wide range of business and taxation matters including corporate restructures, inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning, share and business valuations, R&D and capital allowances claims, and business incorporations.

James said: “I’m elated to be appointed Tax Director at Whittingham Riddell, having worked here for 14 years I have grown a lot throughout my career here. I am looking forward to what the future will hold for the Tax department going forward.”

Charlie Thompson will join as a Tax Consultant.

Charlie has a breadth of experience gained during his career and will join James Clark, Tax Director and the other Tax Consultants to work closely with our clients to ensure they pay the minimum tax required by law and understand the tax implications of their decisions.

Associate Tax Consultants

Emma Williams joins the firm bringing with her expertise gained from the local area. Emma will work alongside David Whitfield who has been with Whittingham Riddell since 2014 and was promoted to Associate Tax Consultant, following the successful progression of his CTA exams in February this year. The Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) qualification is the highest tax qualification in the UK.
