Corporate Social Responsibility

At Whittingham Riddell we have a commitment to recognise and improve upon the impact which our activities have on the environment, our staff and the communities in which we operate.

Our reputation for excellence is based, not only on the continually developing high quality service which we deliver to our clients, but on our contribution to the wider community and the world around us.

Our essentials:

Our Environment

reducing our impact on the environment

Our People

Being a great employer

Our Community

Supporting our community

Our Environment

We work to ensure that the negative impact which our business has on the environment is minimised, by:

  • the operation of “less paper” offices;
  • the use of conference calls and car-sharing between our offices to minimise our carbon emissions;
  • recycling our waste products; and
  • seeking to source office materials and supplies from sustainable and local sources.

Our People

Our staff are our most important asset and we encourage them to achieve their full potential through our continued investment in their development, by:

  • the promotion of a positive work-life balance;
  • recognition for examination success, long service and exceptional personal and team contributions;
  • a policy of continuous and effective learning and development for all levels of staff; and
  • the provision of a flexible, professional and efficient working environment for all of our staff.

Our Community

We are actively involved in supporting and developing the local communities in which we operate by:

  • sponsoring, supporting and contributing to local and national charities through our involvement with their events;
  • recognising staff and partners who act as Trustees, Governors and complete voluntary work in their local communities;
  • offering annual Make a Difference Days to all members of staff; and
  • building links with local schools and educational establishments through work experience placements, and participation in business games and presentations to students.
