Mervyn has worked in the accountancy profession since 1968 and brings a wealth of taxation experience to the firm. Before joining Whittingham Riddell in 2001, he worked as an independent taxation consultant to firms of accountants, solicitors, companies and high net worth individuals.
He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. The areas he covers include capital and business tax planning, inheritance tax, trusts and estates, value added tax and corporate taxes.
