Steven was born and educated in South Devon where he trained with a local firm of Chartered Accountants in Newton Abbott.
He moved to Shropshire in 1971 when he joined Whittingham Riddell dealing with General, Commercial and Professional Clients.
In the early 1980’s he took control of the Agricultural Department managing this under the late Mr Douglas Whittingham until 1992 when he became Principal in the Practice.
Since 1980, Steven has worked extensively in the agricultural sector and advises on all tax and financial aspects concerning today’s farmer.
He is a regular speaker at seminars dealing with topical issues and is highly regarded as one of the leading experts in matters affecting the agricultural market place.
