Principal

Tel: 01743 237273

Ann qualified as a chartered accountant in 1981. She became a principal in 1986.

As a local doctor’s daughter, one of Ann’s first interests was looking at the accounts of medical practices and seeking to assist doctors to understand their finances and develop their practices from a financial perspective. This has expanded over the years to incorporate an interest in other healthcare clients including dental and veterinary practices. Ann has developed this expertise to cover professional practices generally and, in particular, solicitors and architects. Ann is now very actively involved in our specialist services to professional practices.

An extension of her involvement with legal clients has been to build up an expertise in forensic accounting, offering this service to local lawyers and when required acting as an expert witness.

Ann has more recently developed an interest in financial services. We offer access to our in-house advisors to help clients with decisions on investment strategy and financial planning.

Ann undertakes a role at national level as a committee member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Healthcare Special Interest Group and is also a member of the UK200 Group of Accountants Heathcare Committee.

Ann speaks at Seminars regularly, particularly on medical accounting issues and also on issues affecting the legal profession.

Ann has published articles on medical accounting topics for Practice Management and Primary Business Today and has written for CCH, accounting publishers in medical accounting issues.
